Historic Middleburg is a small town located on Route 50 in Northern Virginia about 55 miles West of Washington, DC. The closest airport is Dulles International Airport (IAD), about 45 minutes away. The Middleburg area has a rich history, including serving as the site of two skirmishes in 1863 as part of the Gettysburg Campaign during the Civil War. After the turn of the Century, the town became a popular destination for fox hunting, steeple chasing, point to point, eventing, dressage, hunter jumpers and horse racing earning it a reputation as the “Nation’s Horse and Hunt Capital” and attracting well-known visitors from all over the world.
